Vermicelli with creamy chicken sauce
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
- Vermicelli — 350 g
- Chicken fillet — 400 g
- Cream 15% — 250 ml
- Onion — 1 pc.
- Garlic — 2 cloves
- Butter — 30 g
- Olive oil — 1 tbsp.
- Hard cheese (Parmesan or other) — 50 g
- Salt, black pepper — to taste
- Paprika — ½ tsp.
- Parsley or basil — for serving
Preparation:
1. Cut the chicken fillet into small strips. Salt, pepper, and add paprika.
2. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
3. In a large pan, heat olive oil with butter. Add the chicken and fry for 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
4. Add the onion and garlic, cook for another 3 minutes until they become soft.
5. Pour in the cream, bring to a light boil, and reduce the heat. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
6. Meanwhile, boil the noodles until al dente.
7. Add the noodles to the sauce, mix, and heat for 1–2 minutes.
8. Remove from heat, add grated cheese and fresh herbs.
